Bahamas
The Bahamas

 Two years old
 Walking
 On the sand

 The crystal clear
 Ocean of the Bahamas
 Covering my feet

 My grandmother
 Holding my hand

 Finding
 Sea creatures
 Star fish
 And Conch shells

 Playing in
 The shallow bay
 In front of our
 House

 The beach house
 My grandparents
 Rented

 For my family
 And my uncle
 To stay in
 With them

 It was beautiful
 The one story
 House
 Was all white on the
 Outside

 With a porch
 That had a dock
 Off it

 A hammock
 By the ocean
 With palm trees
 All around it

 A funny little dog
 That came with
 The house

 We loved
 To play with
 And sleep by

 A boat comes in
 Full of food
 That will go
 To the small
 Store

 Grammie and I
 Would
 Go down
 To see if any
 Ice cream came in

 Sometimes
 It did
 Grammie
 Would get us
 Lots
 When it came

 I remember
 One day
 When I was sad

 I can’t believe
 I was sad
 In the Bahamas

 But
 It was
 Because
 I was too small

 To ride
 The water slide

 But that
 Didn’t matter
 I just
 Swam

 In the
 Crystal clear
 Ocean
 With
 My grandparents
