The Utmost Humility
There was once a man
 His knuckles cracked with
 Calloused rings
 Restricting the movement
 Of his skin to
 breath.

 He lived too far from
 No shallow river bend
 To feel the inviting
 Comfort
 Of its fertile loam and
 trees.

 The utmost humility.

 He dreamt deep inside his
 Cabin, the wood thawed,
 Fatigued
 Tired with much strain
 From the wind
 How it yells, how it
 screams.

 No laughter hung in the
 Air, it
 Cold with inevitable
 Solitude, isolation, how they
 Drench the modest cabin,
 The humble shack
 Like constant
 rain.

 The utmost humility.

 There was once a man
 His knuckles cracked with
 Calloused rings
 Restricting the movement
 Of his skin to
 breath.
