i lose things sometimes …
pennies and sticky notes and the matching sock.
her credit card and my earrings and the car keys.
the story i meant to tell you,
the word on the tip of my tongue.
my sense of self.

lucky for me
you're really good at
finding the things
i've lost.

i love this poem.  i like the simplicity and vulnerability of the language.  the message is beautiful. i'm glad to see this went in the magazine. (we're on the same page! cool huh?)
