Please don't go to bed
I don't want to be alone tonight
can't swallow the darkness
nor find the light
you always leave me alone at night
when stars deceive and candles die
It's black and cold.
solitude hurts but you do what you're told
lie next to me, don't let me get old
do what you're told, do what you're told
but somehow I'm alone at night
we all grow old and flicker out
Try as you might, but I'm gone
Try as you're told, but I flew away
tonight.
