The Color Inside of Me
Solid white body
 Lanky arms—white
 Whiter than white face
 White eyes
 White hair
 Bleached white lips
 White tongue
 White feet
 Plain white
 That is all
 All over
 Up and down
Never any color, and too much white to cover
 I need help to become
 That butterfly
 Emerge from the blank
 And become the colorful person
I know I used to be
Colorful, except that was after you and
 Before you were damaged
 After me
I know who I need to be
And that is not who I am emerging as
I hope soon you will just see
See the color on the inside of me
