My Stranger
There’s a stranger watching me,
with her big sad brown eyes.
Have you ever looked up and wondered who the person is?
I do it all the time.
I wonder if people do it to me too.
If they do what do they think?
If they look long enough will they notice that I’m sad?
Or that I'm lonely?
Or anything about me at all?
Are people really as clueless as believed to be?
Or is that blank look in their eyes undeveloped thoughts?
Do they write poems in their minds that disappear before they can get them on paper?
There’s that stranger again.
Always there when I least want her
Is it normal to look in the mirror and not know who’s looking back?
