"Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies"
- Aristotle

I turn to look at the clock when suddenly I see
You looking at me, a goofy grin plastered on your face
But then you realize that I caught you looking
So you quickly turn away but suddenly I realize
That the girl behind me is so much prettier than me
And when she walks out I see you run after her

Probably to go ask her out so forcing a smile on my face
I go to my next class but silently I’m wondering
Why can’t you like me instead
Maybe it’s because there’s something wrong
With me or maybe it’s the clothing that I wear
Of course I’ll never truly know for sure
Because you were my last hope at life
So now I left a note in your locker
Then silently I grab the gun
But before I can pull the trigger on my life
A final ringtone comes on I glance at the ID
Though I probably won’t answer but when I see it’s you
I just had to answer but you’re crying
Because you read my note
You say that you love me that she was nothing
All he was doing was asking her about me
So now I’m here to tell you that I’m so grateful
For that final call so glad you read my note
So glad to finally know you love me too.

This poem came to me during a final, and though this situation never happend to me, I did have someone who kept me from doing something stupid.

That was intensely surprising, and simply beautiful - I actually held my breath. I loved how you captured a simple moment, and put wonder and depth behind it, as CrazySquid said. I hope you spread the message that a violent end is not the answer to doubts and depressing thoughts - as a writer, I think you have something that emanates with light. Would you read my writing, "Razed Expectations" and sing your opinion? Merely click on my name, love. Thank you, and I wish you gifts of sunlight.
