The Future's Just Begun!
Who can believe the time is here
For us to graduate.
No turning back, no last regrets,
‘Cause now it’s way too late.
The end came fast, we didn’t see
That we would miss this place.
The teachers, hallways, locker rooms,
All looked at with disgrace.
It seemed like months ago that we
Were lost without a clue.
How silly does that all seem now
That we know what we’ll do?
Through speeding time, the year is gone
Our friends stand by our side.
We walk that walk across the stage,
Our faces full of pride.
Twelve years long and hours spent
On things we wont remember.
The silly stuff from in-between
Is what will last forever.
Behind this cap I see my friends
Who helped me on the way
Families here from out of town
To share this special day.
The summer sun will burn away
Like it has always done,
But now’s not time for sadness ‘cause
The future’s just begun!
