Eternal Night

Surise.
The jagged rays of light break through my black curtains.
I stay curled in bed, afraid.
I try to stop them
I try to block them.
I'm afraid of the light
The brightness
I pretend I'm not, I pretend it doesn't scare me
But inside
I'm terrified.
I can't escape, it's everywhere.
It's haunting me.
Moonlight.
Darkness coats the world.
It hides the tears pricking at my eyes.
They burn. They long to be free.
But no.
No.
I can't let them. I wont.
They're my weakness. My shame.
They prove that I'm afraid
The darkness feels good here.
Twilight.
Another day is about to begin
Another nightmare
It scares me. I don't want to face it.
Why?
Look out my window.
You'll see why.
Eternal Night.
I'm safe now. I no longer am afraid.
I escaped.
I never again will have to deal
with the madness of reality.
Its all a distant dream now.

Thank you! I suppose they're all sort of related in a way, depending on my mood sometimes I can write out several poems at one time
