Everything is Not as it Seems
I lay in the grass on a bright summer day
The wind smoothly brushes up against my face
The sun gently warms my body
 All seems serene
 But in reality
 This is just a dream

My mind is buzzing with chaos
My world is crashing down around me
 Everyone who means something is
Slowly disappearing like a cruel magicians act
 Family bonds are breaking
 Friendships are changing
 And hearts are bleeding

So what else is their left to do?
 Nothing.
Just lay in an open field basking in the sun
And put on a mask of happiness
because it’s easier to fake a smile
than it is to shed a tear
