What is Normalcy?

Fear is instilled,
in minds of little ones.
Growing up,
with constant fear.
A fear of life,
and of death.
We're never on the front lines,
but always in the front.
Crying parents,
once so proud,
now distraught.
Not murder,
just defense.
Thousands slain,
for a war
that's not ours.
We the people,
are shouting "NO!"
to normalcy.
