Five in the morning
I rise from a restless slumber
No dreams or broken images
Behind my closed eyes
I just chose not to think last night.
Memories of him and his new beginning
Fills my head
No jealousy or hatred
Poisoning my mind
I just chose not to worry this time
Reminicences of his kisses
Floods my veins
No thoughts of that actually phase me
Just chose not to remember it
Orders from him to never speak again
Wets my lips
My hand clenches around the receiver
And dials his number
I just chose to be a rebel
His words are like knives
Intended to cut through my skin
I'm not hurt or rejected
I chose not to feel anything
I just wanted to hear his voice

aww this is so inspirational, I'm going through a really hard breakup too and I can't find a way to put it into words lately

Very good. As you said, you like to write poems and things with deep emotion. I think those ae the best kinds of poems...keep up the good work!!!!
