Golden predators
In the night
Walking perfectly
Out of sight

We walked like kings
Like we were never
Going to stop

We walked around yards
Through woods
Down hills
Around ponds

We leapt
Over fallen trees
Making no sound
When we landed

We climbed walls
Fought our way
Through bushes

We walked like jackals
Until our feet
Were sore

Favorite Quote:
"Some of you may have taken history or civics classes that outlined the freedoms one expects in a democracy. At the heart of those freedoms is choice... With an affirmative choice, all democracy vanishes."

I liked it. I wasn't sure when the first stanza rhymed (sp?) b/c I prefer free verse. But it's really beautiful. It's sad yet hopeful. I feel like it's filled with unsaid things.
