Why Do We Care?
Why do we care about what she does?
Why do we care about what he thinks?
Why do we care about what they say?

We care because we secretly want to be like her
We care because we sometimes believe what he thinks is more important
We care because sometimes we think the opinions of others matter more than our own

Why do we care about eachother's grades?
We care because it's nice to know someone did worse than we did
Why do we care about what clothes we wear?
We care because we know we'll be judged by that
Why do we care about such stupid things?
We care because if we admit we don't, then they won't care about us
And in middle school, not being cared about is the worst thing in the world
 That's why we care.
