Love Aflame
I’m caught aflame in your eye’s fire, destroying everything in it’s path, completely annihilating every particle of my being.
I observe the shame sting your tear-soaked, blood-shot eyes, even if it’s only on the inside, and I understand your sorrow, hidden in the chasms of your heart, manacled away from sight for fear of how vulnerable you might become.
Don’t worry.
You don’t have to admit to anything, the heat from this fire is proof enough of the existence for which I long.
Stop hiding the pain away.
Embrace it.
Embrace the fire tearing us asunder, reveling in the discord it creates.
Then, let the rain that is our love cleanse our singed visages and our scorched bodies.
Let us regain control: of life, of time, of love and death, heaven and hell and everything that lies between.
Let not another day be wasted by the troubles and regrets of tomorrow’s yesterday.
