The Eternal Burden
Crawling through the stones
The king arrives at sea
Dozens of doves
Flew that faithful day
When he became the one
Whom even luck obeyed
Now, a couple of pelicans
Flutter above
Innately, the place fish
Above loyalty's manners
Or extinct patriotic love
The king sighs
He whom chokes the source of optimism
Plants the seed of vengeance
The truth did not come to him
Under the skirt of a bodhi
Destitution was not liberating
The caged lion's roar was too soft
For the inspiration did not come
From the obtuse angle
Between the ground and his chin
But the imitation of an imaginary friend
As the king meadered into the sea
He also treaded on the primal human string
That connects every historic chain
To the lost cause, human integrity
