"Life often feels like it's spinning. Just stop and look at the design being made."~ Advice given to me by my aunt Kaitlyn

Fighting
Bickering
Yelling
Shouting

Constant quarrells
Constant screaming
Children crying
Always crying
Wanting to know
Why mommy and daddy
Won't stop fighting

My heart keeps breaking
My mind is screaming
I'm supposed to set a good example
I'm supposed to be there
But i'm not there
Not completely there for them

My children scream and cry
My oldest child watches us
Her eyes filled with pain and fear
Not sure how
She can help us now

My poor babies
All of them having to see this
Having to see their parents fight
I don't want that
I don't want them to see
But I can't hide it
Our voices get so loud

What do i say
Things will get better
No, because we can't be sure
It will be ok
It won't be ok
Not now
They have to see this
Even though
We don't want them to

How do i show them
How do i help them understand
Can we keep them from fretting
From thinking we'll part
One can only hope

May i be of some help
To keep this world
From falling apart
May i find a way
To keep my family
From disbanding

I love my family
I want them to know this
I want them to see
That i truly am sorry
That my children have to see
Such horrible things
But for now
I can just hope
That they will forgive me

I wrote this poem as if it were from a mother's point of view because i was just curious how well i could do at writing from that point of view. Apparently i did well according to a couple teachers i showed it to.
