From the outside looking in,
You wouldn't see the sadness, Or the greed, Or the jealousy.
From the outside looking in,
You would see joy.
You wouldn't see shallow thoughts and purposeless actions.
You couldn't feel the state of apathy that lingers in the air.
You couldn't see me.
You would see the me that I want you to see.
From the outside looking in.
