It's Okay To Cry
its okay to cry
for those who lay lifeless in the soil
 no daisy’s to push

 its okay to cry
for those killed by loved ones
 forced behind the gun
 eyes tainted
 their life raped
 abducted into war

for those who hide in darkness
 behind a pretty façade
 or a fun house mirror
 shoving reality in her pocket

 its okay to cry
 but cry with your heart
let it weep and leak down cheeks
 a stream that runs true

 let the blood red tears
 fall
 stain the earth
a voice for those with no tongue

 for those lost
 in screaming silence

its okay to cry for blood stained
 ghosts

 never
 is it okay to cry
 for your own
 selfish
 self.

I wrote this because at school there was an assembly for the invisible children and it really inspired me. I thought about the petty reasons i cry and thought i really shouldnt pout so much over little things... anyways i got a glimpse of whats going on over there and really thought about the reasons people should really " cry " about. And how its important to let these types of things be known and do something about them. This poem means a lot to me and its my way of supporting(:
