The soldier
He lived in a small town
everybody knew him
a boy becoming a man
he thought the war was his token
He got good grades
and was good at sports
he had many friends
they were people of all sorts
His beleifs were strong
but he was the nicest man you knew
he fought for what was right
and did that in world war 2
he fought for his freedom
as well as mine and yours
many doubted him
but that made him fihgt even more
for the young and the helpless
he gave them a chance
so they could do what they beleived in
WITHOUT a second glance
now we eat our food
and sleep in our bed
because the soldiers that fought
so many that are now dead
that soldier never came home
but his beleifs lived on
he helped create the U.S
the nation of freedom
so i give my thanks
to those many soldiers
who let me live a life i choose
and stayed strong when they had so much to loose
