Lying in the leaves
Twisted and broken
His hair soaked red
Once perfect and golden

A peaceful look
On his angel doll face
Green eyes shut tight
As if in a faze

Red sparkling wildly
In the hot burnt sun
The tree molting layers
Blood mixed with pollen

His time to go
No one there to bargain
No eyes had witnessed
The sight of him fall down

Lack of audio attended
Just a muffled land
He would no longer
Make a sound

The author's comments:
A gum tree stood and its deep blood red leaves were scattering themselves around it. This poem is what I thought up about it.
