I Am From
I am from old sandboxes and creaky floor boards.
From a dirty pool and a house named Mertle.
I am from many generations of pets and people.
From Paula, to Bill, and even Cinder.
I am from long rock driveways on a quiet little street.
From a big yellow house with a porch about to break and a second yellow house on the edge of the yard, that sits on the edge all creepy and small.
I am from "The Cat in The Hat" in the basement in Bound Brook.
From many dogs to big pools.
I am from North Carolina with horses and chicken.
From painted rooms in the attic and basement.
I am from the great outdoors with mud and rain.
From a lone caterpillar waiting for me.
I am from Lemon in Cognac to dog food in the corner.
From many grandparents and cousins galore!
I am from a creepy red vase and a stuffed horse named ginger.
From a blanky in a nice warm bed.
I am from acorns on a nice falls day.
From squirrels feasting on a nearby tree.
I am from heart shaped candies on Valentines Day.
From a pantry stocked with snacks everyday.
I am from Florida with beaches so nice.
From dolphins swimming with the tides.
I am from two little sisters with a room downstairs.
From a house that never stops with screaming, and yelling, and clicking lights my house is a sight.
