Warped Perception
Reminded of the time
When time was stopped
And bent sloppily
To her will.
Rampage of
A hot-handed woman
A storm across deserted plains
That time has passed,
Although warped faces disagree
Light glaring across them in
Angles of biting spite.
Harsh air breathes thick through
Heat of day
Haze of rust
The tick tock tick tock of every same minute
And the click tick tock of the heart
Abandoned in desert sand
Where now I look past my feet
At glittering gold debris
Scattered almost purposefully
Beneath a white husk of twisted trunk
