** Why do we kill people who kill people, to show that killing people is wrong? **

You hold me in tight,
But I want to see the bigger world,
some brighter light.
I'm close enough,
but I still can't see,
details in this picture you've drawn me.

So here I pull back,
firm within your grasp,
I want to get out,
but never do I imagine living without.
I keep wanting to step back and
grab the pencil to draw myself in...

I need your embrace,
but can I believe your wonderous face,
that I can surrender and not be afraid?

Can I live without these regrets,
of seeming so selfish?
My world has fallen apart,
but now I'm at the bottom of your heart.
Why has being with the very One to set me apart,
made this so much harder?

I want to see it all,
but would it ruin your call?
Forgive me,
why can't I find what's always come naturally?
But I keep wanting to step back and
grab the pencil to draw myself in....

Into a place I don't know,
into the depths of the unshown,
I'm emerged in this snow,
This place I don't know,
I just don't know,
Don't know why,

I try to run,
when you're here inside,
you're with me when I hide,
or was that until I realized?
Your listening now,
listen to my desperate cry
for my Lord,
to set me right.

Draw myself in,
into a world that's never cold,
to my home,
where loneliness goes
and we fall down to your worthy toes.

I believe it and I love,
I've got to show,
because now I know.
I'm not scared anymore,
Jesus,
I love what this picture's for,
I'm drawn in,
drawn in the sketchings of You.
