Shadows of Another Day
Another day I’m lost in sigh
Watching you go right by
Something tells me that you’re not the same
That all of this is just a game
But still I look the other way
Silently noticing day by day
I thought we were happy
I don’t understand
Until one day you took my hand
There you left alone to stand
Fighting the urge to break down and cry
I finally learned this is right and say goodbye
Months later alone in my room
I hug my pillow tight
And whisper I miss you into the night
Even though we are still friends and gone our separate ways
I just want you to know I will forever love you and that will always stay
