Never take life seriously, no one gets out alive anyways.

There once was a girl
She was beautiful
She was intelligent
She was herself
Unique and untouchably happy.

There once was a boy
He was rude
He was cruel
He was himself.
Popular and royally ungrateful.

They met one day
It was fun
He was nice
She was cute
He liked her
She liked him.

They kissed
They hugged
They spent so much time together
She thought they would be happy forever
He knew what was coming.

She caught him
There was another girl
A girl just like herself
She cried
She ignored him
She told him they were over.

He made excuses
He apologized
He said everything was going to be okay
He said they could still be happy

He lied.

There once was a girl
She was broken
She was sad
She was not herself
Miserable and utterly heartbroken.

There once was a boy
He was rude
He was cruel
He was himself.
And he never changed.

I'm not great at poetry, but I gave it a shot. This was published in my school's literary magazine. My best friend got her heart broken by a guy, and this was supposed to give him a hint.

"LIfe is worth a few bumps and brusies."

i love this, this is so true for many people. Some boys are just like that, and the girls are so pitiful. How can he do that. Well other wise this is amazing, keep going, poetry is beautiful, even though it can hurt. Keep writing, because you can show so much emotion in one little saying. life is worth a few bumps and bruises. :)
