Darkness Falls

Darkness falls,
The world is quiet,
A king has been slain.
The day is gone,
No joy is here,
An innocent man has been killed.
Drops of red speckle the ground,
Like white rays of brilliant light that pierce the darkness.
The loss is great,
But the victory is greater.
Through this death,
The world can be saved.
Through this death,
New life can be found.
The only issue is that
The world does not know it yet.
Will you speak up?
