Providing
Shade for my roots,
Leaves to gather sunlight,
Perhaps hosting
Fledgling families
Stable
Sturdy place
For a new nest.
Landing
On me, he
Tests back and forth
Needing
Knowledge that
Eggs and mate
Will be safe from
Storms.
Strength
assures him
Hopping, looking
Exploring
The perfect nook
I give him
Them
Safe with me.
