What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.

Dream like you will live forever, live like you will die today.

The Horror
Head pounding
aching-
ow.
This stupid device
vile calculator
with all its many buttons
fumbling fingers
Division? Addition?
Polynomial functions?
Wait, haven't learned about those...
yet.
Or have I?
Too distracted during class
by...
you know...
stuff.
Like the bug on the windowsill.
Or the sunlight.
No.
Focus
focus
have GOT to focus-
but wait, what song do I want to listen to?
Rainy Day,
Let It Go...
Oh, here's a good one,
Sam's Town.
Back to work.
Consider the graph of the inverse variation function f(x)=1/x.
Argh.
How am I
supposed to comprehend this?
Maybe that one
could be
easier.
Reduce each rational expression to lowest terms by dividing out
common factors,
and state any restrictions
on the variable. Use
your calculator’s table feature to verify
your answer.
Nope. Damn. My memory has abandoned me.
Have we done this before?
What is it?
Math?
What?
My whole day,
washed away
was it in the blink of an eye?
Or did I just not notice
as it slowly
slipped
away?

The sad song playing now is not helping my problem.

ARGDHAOFVOPBVAFIVAFVYAARGHGHGH!

I needed that.

Will try again later.
Not now.
Maybe after dinner...
and some Advil...

I despise writing odes; poems worshipping stuff, basically. So I wrote the opposite of an ode- a poem trashing something (in this case, my math homework).
