puppeteer
I was your puppet
your doll
there when you wanted me
when you needed me
you pulled my strings
and pressed my buttons
but I stood there
silent and still
with a smile painted on my face
afraid of having imperfections
so afraid to show you my flaws
?so I stood there waiting
something new came along
and I was tossed aside
like an old toy
waiting in the corner
for her puppeteer
to come save her
begging for anything
to keep her from being alone
but he doesn't come back
I'm just a used up broken toy
and my painted on smile
has chipped to be a frown
