mountain of life
Some people compare life to mountains,
at its steepest we crawl,
and when we get tired of trying,
we fall.
When we make mistakes,
our hands or feet lose grip,
and remind us to take one step at a time,
and never skip.
Sometimes we find a flat surface,
and stop to rest,
but we start the climb again,
once we get our breaths.
Those who make it over the mountain,
and know they really tried,
are disapointed to know,
that it is not greener on the other side.
The struggles only make us stronger,
the bigger they are,
but then we just remember,
that our journey is never too far.
