Freedom for the World
In America we write about freedom
And how we are grateful to be free
In Africa they dream of water
And lie on the ground in the debris
In America we write about freedom
And how we are grateful to be free
In Asia they can barely walk
Because their feet have been bound since they were babies
In America we write about freedom
And how we are grateful to be free
In North Korea they cry in loneliness
Praying to reconnect with their families
In America we write about freedom
And how we are grateful to be free
In India they are famished
And stumble from being woozy
In America we write about freedom
And how we are grateful to be free
In Russia, a place to stay is all they want
They are tired of the cold and looking sickly
In America we write about freedom
And how we are grateful to be free
But even the States
Have people living in poverty
In America we write about freedom
And how we are grateful to be free
So maybe we can help these other countries
From living in such agony
