The one with the
Bare
Alabaster head and
Bright blue
Eyes
Who sits with lovely and
Death
In the silent back row
Behind all the lucky ones who didn’t
Have to go through
It

Too weak
Too sick
Too scared

The one with blue veins
And red scars
Flesh tearing
From the surface
With purple
Clover-shaped bruises

Pure heart
tormented

The one who will die before
They get a chance
To live

The beautiful one

My grandma died with breast cancer before I was born, and a few years back my mother developed it- but they caught it before it could spread and she is now cancer free. I always wondered what it would be like to have a child with terminal cancer.... how sad and heartbreaking it would be. This poem is what I depict their graduation day would be like. Please comment and rate. (PS- I kind of just went with it, so I know it needs work. Suggestions are encouraged.)
