ribcage fused to spine
to keep me aligned.
nerves connect the brain
to keep me sane.
there must be a mistake somewhere.
could such a complex being--
a representation of God, if you will--
been built by skipping
a step or two?
lacking a ligament here?
chest cavity absent of lungs there?
bowels inside out
and blood serving as spit?
there must be something wrong with me.
