Yet no one is impressed.

Instead they cuff their hands over their face to hide the shame.
Afraid of the unknown
Scared of what’s under the bed.
Yet no one is there.

Somebody chooses not to care.
Walking away from open doors.
Turning their backs on the givers who try to help.
Walking away because of fear of failure.
Now they regret.
Yet no ones listening

Somebody craves to be heard
Wants to feel special but no one gives them the satisfaction.
They’ve learned that disappointment lies everywhere.
And somebody gets hit with it everyday.
Yet no ones paying attention

Somebody is tired of hearing “I’ll be there.”
When the road ahead of them is empty.
Always wishing, never getting.
