Love's Black Rose

A soft kiss on my lips they begin to decay,
Slowly as they fall apart
Like a dead petal
Falling to the floor
Counting the seconds till I wither.
Breathe on my chest and my heart turns black,
Paralyzed; shatters like glass
The pieces of glass from my heart that
Slash anything in it’s way,
Destroyer of life,
Taking away the joy and the happiness;
The disease that brings cold and freezes to death.
It cuts through my body
Flies through yours,
Straight through your heart
Our love is both dead.
