Wet Sidewalks
Most people find the rain
 depressing.
 They see it as
 the sky falling to pieces
 or
 tears
 falling from
 the heavens.
 They see gray skies and
 their hearts hurt.
 But not me.
I don't see the rain as
 a cause for
 disconsolation.
 In the rain I see
 beauty
 life
 rebirth
 a fresh start.
 It fills me with
 joy
 not despair
 to see thick clouds
 gray skies
 and wet sidewalks.
