Since you started to leave
Good only went with you
Of course
I don’t know what they were like before I noticed
Fights
Brother against brother
Sister against sister
Your family torn
You
The elephant
Then you started going a little faster
The good only went as fast
Then you left
Now where do we stand?
One of your elephants has left the herd
Everyone else
Has pushed her away
Blamed her
She’s blamed them
Stared fights
Been too kind
Been too picky
Is it only because she misses you?
Is this only her anger?
No
I have been scarred
Burned
Bruised
Terrified
Because of her
And what she did before you left
But I will wait for her return
She can still return if she wishes
I will wait for her return
With open arms
But a yellow heart
I will keep waiting
For the return
Your return and hers

The author's comments:
I wrote this after my great-grandma passed away. My aunt that lives with us is always fighting with the rest of our family. She never agrees with any of them, and most of them have kind of pushed her to the side. Even though I've felt put down by her, I still love her and want to give her another chance.
