Yes to the rumors

Proving the lies

We bind to the whispers

And their heartless spies



False accusations

Empty cries

Buzz about our heads

Like spiteful flies



We yearn to be greater

in others’ eyes

This longing for attention

Will be our demise

This article is about High School and how sometimes people spend weeks on end denying a rumor; then it ends up becoming true. It is also about how people will go to such lengths as starting rumors simply for attention.
