The Wolf
There's darkness all around me
You'd think that I'd be scared
But I can feel the night caress me
Protecting me from the world
I can hear the screams of people
Far across the shadowed park
But I am separate
Different, able
A hunter in the dark
I can see the tiny leaves
Shaking in the wind
And if I listen
I can hear you
Walking past again
Invisible to human eye
Silent as the wolf
I pad around the hidden paths
And see the whole wide world
So doubt me if you think you'd like to
I can see your point of view
Just remember
Mortal one
I can see the whole of you
