I see you standing there
On the title of my kitchen
Floor
I forget to breathe
For a moment and hope you don't
Notice
The way I choose
My words oh-so
Carefully
When I speak, trying
Not to stutter, to say the right
Words
To make you smile,
See your eyes light up, maybe a
Laugh
And so I tell myself
No, I can not be in
Love
And some things just
Cannot happen, cannot
Be
And in case you were wondering, No, This is not a
Love Poem.
