Maybe
Not comfortable in this skin, but nobody knows.
Hide it behind jokes and laughs so it never shows.
Not seeking or begging for any sympathy
Or compliments with adjectives that don’t describe me.
It only makes it worse when they say things just to be kind.
Because it’s just a disguise for the judgments they already have in mind.
Constantly aware of how I appear.
The reason why my face is always stuck in a mirror.
Tend to raise my voice a little loud.
Trying not to blend in with the crowd.
Having a behavior that contradicts how I feel.
Glowing with a confidence that’s only half real.
Never fully satisfied when fortune comes my way.
Because it doesn’t change anything at the end of the day.
Still the same person, that’s all I can be.
Maybe one day I’ll be happy with me.
