The Growth of the Flower
I am not who I was.
A blooming blossom,
covered in the sun
Starting to run
and when I would fall
I would get right back up.
Petals pelted by water,
doused in too much rain
Feeling so much pain
that when I fall
there is no want to get back up.
I am not who I was.
One storm too many,
it drowned the flower's head.
The weight of the world is as heavy as lead
and these cells are too weak.
I am not who I was,
I'm not even here.
