One Kind Word
One kind word can heal a hurt
One kind word can warm the heart
One kind word can brighten a day
One kind word can build someone up
One kind word can mean a lot
One kind word shows we care
One kind word shows we’re there
One kind word shows us the face of happiness
One kind word shows us the joy of life
One kind word shows it can mean a lot
One kind word causes happiness
One kind word causes friendship
One kind word causes peace
One kind word causes love
One kind word causes joy
If one kind word
does all this
and can cause so much happiness
why isn’t it done
more often
It’s not
too hard
too out of our way
too time-wasting
or too word-wasting
It’s just a matter of
‘wasting’ a second
or two
or at most three
and one kind word

Blimey!!! I have this motley of emotions churning inside me!! Happiness- in reading the ideology of your poem, and sadness- as to why it did not get selected for the print magazine!!! I just wonder from where did you get such innovative ideas for this poem. My guesses-:
1. You are naturally talanted.
2. You are superbly talanted.
3. Both!!!!!!
Great poem, Alex! Everyone should live that way.
My kind word of the day for you is: plumose
