Seamus and Lucy, Part 1
Seamus –

 Hey, remember that time that
I got really mad at you
because you got really mad at me
because you thought I cheated on you
with Ismail but it turned out
Ismael was gay anyway? That was stupid.
That was screwed. Do you even know
how screwed that was? It was screwed
that I was mad at you and it was screwed
that you were mad at me. We had
a lot of screwed-up times like that,
 and somehow we always managed
to patch it up. But now I’ve screwed up
big time, and I’m sorry. I’m sorry I did it,
and I’m sorry it happened. And I
wasn’t sure before, but I’m sure now.
I’m sure we had something amazing,
and we just let it slip through
our freaking fingers; it’s like we’re in
The Notebook or something, except worse,
cuz you’re in freaking Dublin and I’m
in freaking Montreal and we can’t do
a freaking thing about it and the last time
we kissed was 2 freaking years ago.
And all I’m saying is that I’ve dated
other douches since you and none of them
have come even close to the way
you brush your black hair back with one hand
and the way your arms look sexy in plaid shirts
and pullovers and the way you say my name
in your flipping Irish accent. All I’m saying
is I want you back. I don’t know how
 we’re gonna do it, but we have to, dammit;
you know it and I know it so let’s stop
denying it. You know why? Cuz I freaking
love you, that's why. I love you. I love you.

 Love, Lucy
