I Will Survive
I see the wave crash towards me
I feel the burst of air sent from its strength
 I hear its power roaring,
 telling me to retreat
 Threatening to smother me
 wanting to drown me
 I cant go back
 I must go forward
 I need to press on
 Through the swirling eddys,
Over the sand, slipping out from under my feet
The wave builds in strength as I stare,
Frozen with fear at this monstrosity
 Its curling foam hisses
 as it's arching form approaches
 One step
 One step more
one more step and we will meet.
 Will the crashing wave win?
Or, will I be able to stand
Will I be able to face my greatest fear and survive?
