Song of the Sparrow

The sky is orange
As the sun sets below the hills
The valley is peaceful
Sparrows are singing in the trees,
The saddest song of all
Night comes alive
As the sparrow goes silent
The stars arise
Bringing light to the valley
Yet again
The waters freeze
Trees become still
Life is gone
The valley sleeps
But soon enough
The sun rises
To the song of the sparrow
who sings the day through
