The Ticking Clock
I cant stand it
The relentless tick that wont cease
The silence broken only by a irritating tock
This clock is driving me insane
My thoughts only filled with the sound
My mind pounding to every beat
Even as its pieces lay in ruin on the floor
The emptiness of this place is beating with the thumping silence The ticking never leaving
Only following me to my very dreams as I sleep alone
That tocking sound counts the seconds that are wasted doing nothing
Only lying awake staring into the dark
Why wont it leave?
Why does it torture me?
Proving just how alone I can be Here I can only scream and shout
And still the only sound that is heard as my voice dies down
Is that annoying tick
I find that I'm no longer sane
The quiet tick-tock of a useless clock
Proving to me just how alone I am and will always be
