to my amazing

Chuck Taylors.

this poem is

for you.

My old, beat-up

converse.

they tell many tales.

with their worn-out

spots,

tiny dirt specks,

miniscule scratches,

they've definatley

lived well.

my amazing chucks,

i remember when

i first got you.

Christmas morning,

the last present i opened.

classic,

black-and-white hightops,

is what i asked for.

And what i got were

the best pair of shoes

a girl could ask for.

you can tell that

i treated them honorable.

let them live up to their

name.

Not a single ounce of

writing on them.

The things i did

while wearing them,

were almost all good

memories.

a crazy trip to the mall.

an exotic walk in the woods

behind my house.

a passionate make-out

session in the janitors closet.

Good times,

my star-eyed friends.

sometimes i think

i'll never retire you.

My very first

pair of converse.

Partners in crime.

A never ending friendship.

My Faithful Chucks :]

i love it! I love that you wrote about converse (number 1) it's something that everyone can relate to nowadays. I love that you personified your chucks like they were an actual person (cumber 2) and i loved the way you formatted the poem.

It was a really cute. great job!
