I hope you like me better this way
Emotions stripped
Happiness flipped
To a cold stare
None of my former flair

You better be prepared
I hope you like me better this way

I won't help anymore
I only make it worse
I won't give anymore
When I receive nothing in return
I hope you like me better this way

I won't look back anymore
Just to see you walking away
You don't care what I have to say
So f*** it, fine, just walk away
I hope you like me better this way

I won't take the blame
That i never deserved
I won't speak
If no one wants me to be heard
I hope you like me better this way

I tried being a friendly person
But for that I received constant hate
I can't feel anything anymore
Maybe this is fate
I hope you like me better this way because It's here to stay

You're completly right. I don't want to be that bitter person but sometimes it feels like that's the only way to go without being hurt.

I like how it's bitter, but it shows you don't actually want to be that bitter person.  Totally relate to being underappreciated for being a good person.
